About Pellenova Natural Cosmetics
		“Pellenova” translates to “new skin” in Italian, a people and a culture who have long had a deep appreciation for natural beauty. Our mission is to help women of all ages and ethnicities improve their overall skin condition, and to bring out their natural beauty. This is done through products that are good for their skin while also being good for the planet. Pellenova Cosmetics was founded by Lisa Jurek, a registered nurse of 23 years who brings her knowledge of anti-aging and women's health to the cosmetics industry. Lisa noticed how things like Botox and Dermal Fillers were becoming more popular, and also watched with interest as a whole “anti-aging” trend became very popular in the cosmetics world. But she was struck by the fact that no one seemed focused on making the skin healthier. Instead the focus seemed to be on covering up the flaws of the skin, but in ways that actually made the problem worse. She decided to bring her knowledge of the body, as a working RN, into the cosmetics field.

“I started to research the cosmetic and skin care industry. I became very intrigued with the claims of benefits of mineral makeup - that they were all natural, better for your skin, hypo-allergenic, and could slow the aging process naturally - without the risks, side effects, and expense of something like Botox. I learned about the ingredients of mineral cosmetics, and what each ingredient does once it comes in contact with the skin. It wasn’t long before I discovered that most ‘mineral’ and most ‘all-natural’ products actually contain cheap fillers, organic ingredients proven to irritate the skin, and many other ingredients that made these ‘all-natural’ products anything but.

"Unfortunately, there are no laws that say a claim of ‘all-natural’ has to be backed by actual natural ingredients. Since I have a more technical background, I felt I was in a good place to handpick products that actually delivered what they promised, and to offer them to like-minded women. Pellenova Cosmetics was born.”

Presently, Pellenova offers skin care products that are formulated with natural ingredients, vitamins and extracts that are functional and healthful. The combination of good healthy skincare and natural and pure makeup can only produce a good outcome.
